A working pre-press bench, not a marketing front.

Color Cutting USA has run 187,000+ separation files through the same West Lee Street shop since 2009 — eleven separation artists, six vinyl technicians, two Roland CAMM-1 Pro cutters and a Summa S2 T160 plotter. Files leave the bench in 6–24 hours, hand-checked, RIP-named, ink-set matched.

  • Bench open · 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM ET
  • Job ticket CCU-187,412 currently in QA
  • 4-hour rush tier available until 3 PM ET

The bench was built by a printer, for printers.

Marcus L. Whitfield spent fourteen years running screens, mixing ink and pulling tickets on contract apparel floors before he opened the West Lee Street shop in 2009. He started Color Cutting USA the week a decorator called him asking, for the third time that quarter, to clean up a four-color process file that a freelancer had butchered.

The bench still runs on that same brief: take the file the customer sent you, return a separation that prints clean on the first pull. No auto-bots, no overseas queue — eleven separation artists who have run their own presses, hand-checking every layer against the ink set, substrate and RIP the shop actually uses.

Printers don't buy expertise. They buy what the bench runs, what it's written down, and what the job number looks like when it ships.
